one of the loveliest areas of Crete is the pretty, traditional village of Kournas – located just 8km from Georgioupolis,  in the foothills of Mount Dafnomadara.  

As one of the oldest cities in Crete, Chania is an enchanting place to visit with endless cobbled streets, traditional architecture and a charming old Venetian harbour.

While the majority of people tend to holiday during the more expensive season of July and August, the savvy traveller is more likely to be found lounging by the pool of a luxury villa during the autumn or spring.

Almyrida (often Almirida) is a small, relaxed fishing village in Crete that stretches for 2km across the northern coast, east of Kalyves. It's also home to a fine selection of Crete beach villas.

We have all heard well meaning relatives declare that "No holiday with children will ever be relaxing" but this is simply not true if the correct measures are taken to ensure a stress free break.

Many gentle walks can be enjoyed around the charming resorts of Kalives, Almyrida, Georgiopoulis, Dramia and the village of Vamos - offering stunning scenery and non-taxing routes under a powder blue sky.
