We spent a lovely week at Villa Icarus which has lovely views over the bay. We could have hired a car but we were happy to chill out by the pool or on the nearby beaches. Thank you - August 2011.

Villa Icarus is sublime. It’s private but not remote, accessible to all the best places & my wife &  I could not take in the view too often as we sat around the pool, or had a glass of wine on the roof terrace. The owners have thought of everything it seems, and we applaud them. It really felt like home from home. We literally had to be dragged away from here - honeymooners - July 2011.

Dear Jan - thank you so much for all your help re the Villa Icarus.  We had the most wonderful time.  I don't think the villa could have been more perfect, the setting, location and level of comfort were amazing, and we look forward to returning there again. Thank you so much for our wonderful holiday made all the better for the use of your lovely villa which we thought was in an excellent location for getting around the western part of Crete. Almyrida restaurants were great - June 2009.

We have had a  a lovely time - what fantastic views!  The villa is lovely, very clean and we have everything we need. We really like Erotokritos in Almirida - great food and friendly servcie. Had an interesting taxi ride to "Spirit in the Sky" in Drapanos where we had a great evening and the food was excellent. This was our first visit to Crete and I'm sure we'll be back - August 2008.

The villa is lovely - spotlessly clean and well equipped. Recommended - Cafe Francoise in Almirida for breakfast and Kritiko restaurant in Kalives - the meat in the wood oven esp pork, is delicious and the service excellent. Can't wait to come back next year - June 2008.
