We spent two weeks at Villa Skye and loved every minute. Probably the most relaxing holiday we have ever had. We hired a car and explored the island, great roads with great hairpin bends! Would recommend a trip to the old town in Rethymnon and Souda Bay war cemetery. The views and pool at the villa are amazing - September 2017.
Had a wonderful 2 weeks at Villa Skye. We have visited this area of Crete several times over the past few years but our first time to this villa which has surpassed all others! Enjoyed visiting all the old favourites and some new. We would certainly recommend Parisia taverna in Tsikoliana, Vamos for something a bit different. Thank you - September 2017.
This is a gorgeous spot! The view out to Souda Bay and the White Mountains is unique. Every evening we could witness a fantastic sunset. The villa is very well arranged and cosy and the lightness of the rooms is enchanting. We loved it very much. We had a wonderful time here. We won't forget - August 2017.
Our 4th visit to Villa Skye between 2010 and 2017. As always the views are stunning - enjoy the lovely sunsets. Good recommendations for eating - Plaka = Takis, Almyrida = Psaros and Dimitris for dinner and Cafe Francois for breakfast. Lovely beach at Almyrida. Yiannis taverna at the beginning of this road is great, very friendly and relaxed. Enjoy your stay - August 2017.
Had a fantastic time here, villa is spot on, everything you need for a relaxing holiday, views are amazing. Welcome pack much appreciated. Thank you - May 2017.
What a fabulous spot! We have had a super holiday at Villa Skye. The views and sunsets amazing and everything so clean and tidy. We found it hard to tear ourselves away to visit the various sites. We will be back - May 2017.
Crete is the most southerly Greek island with an agreeable climate. The tourist season usually starts around April and lasts until the end of October. The spring (April) is a good time to visit for hiking and to see the beautiful flowers.
In early summer (May and June) the temperatures will be climbing steadily to an average in the mid 20's. This is a good time to visit if you don't have to keep to school holiday dates as the climate is very pleasant and there are few crowds.
July and August are the busiest (and hottest) months with tourists from all over Europe choosing Crete for their holiday destination. The north westerly winds usually moderate the temperatures but it's best to make sure your holiday accommodation offers shelter from the hot sun. It goes without saying that the sea will be warm.
September is still high season with warm, sunny days and the sea is still warm. The season draws to a close in October but this is a perfect month for visiting the island as the sea is still warm for swimming and activities such as hiking and visiting the archaeological sites can be undertaken in pleasant temperatures.
