Villa Sarah is new to Crete Escapes for the 2023 season.
Perched high up on the hillside with magnificent uninterrupted views of Souda Bay, Villa Sarah is in an enviable position to showcase the wonderful sea, White Mountain and countryside panorama. In an evening, due to its elevated setting, guests can also enjoy the magical sunsets together with the twinkling lights in the villages below. This 3 bed 2 bath 'split-level' villa is beautifully presented and maintained by the current owners and offers very comfortable accommodation in a peaceful location with the local amenities of Plaka only a short 7 min drive away.
The villa interior is very well furnished in a modern style giving a light and airy feel. Large picture windows and doors ensure you're never very far away from those amazing views. Without doubt the outside areas at this villa are second to none; extensive sunbathing terraces, a large private infinity pool and a superb outdoor kitchen/dining BBQ area providing the perfect combination for a fabulous family holiday.
As you enter the villa via the main door to the side of the property opposite the driveway, you will find a bright air-conditioned open plan living/dining space decorated in a modern style with light coloured furnishings. The living area comprises two comfortable leather sofas each with a side table, a tall cabinet and decorative accessories such as scatter cushions, delicate full length curtains, blinds and wall art. The TV & DVD provides a focal point in the corner of the room and has everything supplied for your entertainment needs. Large glass patio doors to two sides allow you to make the most of those views whether lounging or dining inside and provide easy access to the shady sitting area, swimming pool, sunbathing terraces, outdoor kitchen & BBQ and garden.
An oblong marble topped dining table with 6 chairs provides ample seating for those choosing to dine indoors and is usefully positioned next to the spacious and well equipped L-shaped kitchen and accessed through a pretty stone archway. Stainless steel appliances, a plentiful supply of crockery, glasses and utensils combined with ample worktop space will ensure you have everything you need for a successful self catering holiday.
This villa is 'split-level' with all bedrooms and bathrooms accessed by a short staircase (5 steps) located to one side of the kitchen.
First Floor (split-level)
The hallway leads to the three spacious air-conditioned bedrooms and a family bathroom.
The master bedroom is located to the front of the property with doors opening out on to a small terrace. A few steps lead down to the generously sized infinity pool and sunbathing terraces; ideal for those wanting a refreshing early morning dip before breakfast. The bedroom is comfortably furnished with a wrought iron king size bed, floor to ceiling wardrobes (cleverly hidden out of view in an alcove), a set of drawers, two bedside units and a wall mirror. There is an en-suite shower room with large walk-in shower, handbasin with vanity unit and a wc; ideal for those preferring private washing facilities.
The second bedroom with a king sized bed and the twin bedded room are situated to the rear of the villa and are furnished to the same high standard with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, bedside tables, wall hung mirrors and wall lights and/or lamps. These two bedrooms share the family bathroom which comprises of a full sized bath with shower over, washbasin and vanity unit with eye-level mirrored cabinet and a wc.
All bedrooms benefit from patio doors to the outside areas so the occupants have direct access, if so desired.
Situated on a large, sloping plot, Villa Sarah benefits from a lovely, well planted tiered garden with natural rock enhancing the soft landscaping which the villa owners have beautifully cultivated over the years. The abundance of colourful plants and shrubs together with 'cloud pruned' olive trees make for a splendid outlook from every viewpoint.
The glorious infinity swimming pool blends perfectly with the blue sea beyond and benefits from roman steps for easy access into the water or perhaps somewhere to sit and cool off on those long hot summer days. There is no shortage of shade at this villa with a small covered terrace adjacent to the pool, off the living area, furnished with a sofa and two chairs arranged sociably around an oblong glass table. The furniture benefits from comfy padded seating with co-ordinated scatter cushions providing a perfect place to relax and the slatted screening gives plenty of privacy from the neighbouring villa and shared driveway.
Further extensive shade can be found under the covered outdoor kitchen area and is completely private from any neighbouring villas. A built in BBQ , sink and preparation space provides the cook of the group all the facilities needed to prepare dinner using locally sourced produce whilst enjoying those fantastic views. A large dining table and 6 chairs are provided for this all important al fresco dining with a handy larder fridge nearby to keep those drinks chilled and available at any time of day.
For those wanting to some peace and quiet the villa benefits from a fully tiled private roof terrace accessed via an exterior staircase by the main side front door; another place to sit at this villa and while away the hours soaking up the incredible views on offer.
In an evening all the outside areas are sympathetically lit to create ambience.
For added security the plot is gated at the end of the sloping shared driveway . An electronic keypad is situated some 250m down the track from the villa allowing the electric gate to be opened automatically due to the steep approach.
The internet is provided by means of a satellite system providing unlimited wi-fi. Full instructions on connecting etc are inside the villa.

Alternative length of stays of more than 7 nights are accepted and are charged pro rata.
Prices include air- conditioning, a welcome pack, all linen/towels including beach/pool towels and maid service with linen/towel change.

Low Occupancy Discounts
A low occupancy discount for single couples (use of 1 bedroom), of 15%, is available at this villa except for July and August dates.
Not allowed on late availability or special offer prices.
If you are a returning client and this is your 3rd (or more) consecutive booking with Crete Escapes or your 2nd separate booking in one season, you will qualify for our loyalty discount. Please quote voucher code LOYALTY2.5 when asked to do so during the online booking process or let us know when you contact us. Your reduction of 2.5% will then be deducted from the total price.
Short breaks are normally only available for a minimum of 5 nights and will be charged at the 7 nightly rate unless otherwise advertised. However, if the number of available days between existing bookings is less than 7 nights we may be able to accept bookings at a reduced rate subject to the owners agreement.
Short breaks are allowed within 3 days of arrival.
Change-over days are totally flexible but are subject to existing bookings taken either side. If a booking means that the owner would be left with too many "void" days we might not be able to accept it. If this is the case we will contact you without delay to discuss alternatives.
Payment can be made by bank transfer to our sterling account or by debit or credit card (Mastercard or Visa) only.

Please note: although the calendars show live availability and you can book on-line, please note that your booking is not confirmed until we have issued a confirmation of booking. You may prefer not to book your flights until we have confirmed the booking.
Low occupancy discounts - unfortunately the online booking system automatically calculates the single couple or small party discount based on the number of people entered onto the booking form and the start day of your rental. There are 2 problems with this:-
a) If you are 2 people but not a single couple, or 3 or 4 people but not 2 + 1 or 2 + 2, the system will have automatically calculated a discount when it is not due. Please make use of the "additional notes" box on the booking form to tell us and we will adjust the price accordingly before we confirm your booking.
b) If your rental overlaps from a discounted period to a non-discounted one (or vice versa), the discount calculated will be wrong. In these cases we have to make the adjustment manually. You can still book on-line but we will need to change the price on receipt of your booking request. If the price increases we will contact you to confirm the new price before we confirm your booking and take your deposit.
Please don't let either of these issues put you off making a booking. The discounts are genuine and our villa owners welcome couples and smaller parties out of high season. We just can't fine tune the booking system to account for these 2 circumstances - sorry.

We really enjoyed out stay here. The villa has a very nice atmosphere. Everything you could ask for is present. The view is magnificent, all facilities like shower, kitchen and outdoor kitchen are excellent. It exceeded our expectations. Thank you very much. We are sure we will be back here.
