When you have had enough of the sun or simply want a change from the villa, the beach or sightseeing in the car then the following ideas should give you something for everybody in your party to enjoy.

Mega Drive

A go kart track next to Limnoupolis Waterpark.  There is also table football, air hockey, a café and bar.

Horse riding

Zoraïda's Horse-Riding is located in Georgioupolis (West Crete), well-known for its long sandy beaches.  So be ready for some exciting galloping along the Cretan sea.  Daily, early morning and evening rides at 3 different Levels: beginners , intermediate and advanced with a special programme for children, including guided nature walks. 

Chania Parks

Wander around the parks with the café’s and visit the two outdoor cinemas that Chania boasts.  Chania also has a few indoor cinemas and you can find what films are currently on at the entrance to the covered market.

Boat Trips

Dream Adventure Trips offers a 2 hour speedboat swimming and snorkelling trip to nearby caves, coves and Marathi beach from Almyrida usually 2 or 3 times a day, depending on weather conditions.  Details including the daily rates can be found on the beachfront at Almyrida.

Watersports

Most of the larger beaches in the area provide a selection for you to try.

Cycling

A great way to experience Crete (if you can cope with the hills!) Bikes can be hired locally in most villages including Almyrida.
