Flights to Crete

We arrange your independent villa booking (and car hire if required) but we do not arrange flights for you. This gives you the freedom to organise your own flights to suit you.

When arranging your flights, please bear in mind that the usual check in time on the day of arrival is 16.00 and the usual check out time on the day of departure is 10.00, however if your flights don't fit in with these times we will always do our best to help you.

The property managers/owners on Crete have the final say about the time you can arrive and depart as they have to schedule villa cleaning between guest arrivals and departures. They will have been told the time of your expected flight arrival so if you have an early arrival time they will, as far as possible, be aiming to have the villa ready early (however we cannot guarantee that the villa will be fully serviced before 16.00. If you do arrive at the villa before 16.00 and it is still being cleaned then you are welcome to drop off your bags and go off elsewhere or sit and relax outside but please don't expect all of the villa's facilities to be available to you immediately on arrival).

For requests to check out after 10.00am on the day of departure - please speak to the property manager during your stay to see if this is possible.

There are two airports on Crete, one at Chania and the other at Heraklion. All of our villas are closest to Chania. Both are served by charter flights from the UK + the scheduled services of Easyjet to Chania (from 23rd May 2010) and Jet 2 and Easyjet to Heraklion.

Charter flights to Chania - primarily operate from London Gatwick and Manchester airports with some further flights operating, from regional airports, on selected dates. Note these flights are only on Tuesdays which is our usual change-over day.

Charter flights to Heraklion - operate on most days of the week from most UK airports.

Jet 2 scheduled services are from East Midlands, Manchester and Leeds/Bradford to Heraklion.

Easyjet fly from London Gatwick, Manchester and Bristol to Heraklion.

Easyjet fly from London Gatwick, direct to Chania on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays from 23rd May 2010.

Aegean Airlines, Olympic Air and BA fly daily to Crete from London Heathrow and a few times a week from London Gatwick via Athens

All of our accommodation is closest to Chania airport, typically 40 minutes drive. Our villas in the far west are approx one hour from Chania airport. Heraklion airport is in central Crete and is between 1 ½ to 2 ½ hours drive depending on the location of the villa.

Our usual change-over day is Tuesday because all charter flights from the UK to Chania airport operate on Tuesdays and only on Tuesdays.

We will consider other change-over days apart from Tuesday but we can usually only accommodate these requests out of the peak season months of July and August.
