Flights to Crete - from the UK

Most of our clients arrive by air from the UK.
The main day for direct flights to Crete, from the UK, is Tuesday. Flights operate with Monarch, Thomson Fly, Easyjet and Ryanair.
Tuesday is therefore our primary change-over day but other days are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. There are flights to Chania airport on all of these days either with Ryanair from Leeds/Bradford, East Midlands, Stansted and Glasgow or with Easyjet from Gatwick.
We arrange your independent villa booking but we do not arrange flights for you. This arrangement allows you the flexibility to organise flights to suit you.

When arranging your flights, please bear in mind that the usual check in time on the day of arrival is 16.00 and the usual check out time on the day of departure is 10.00. If your flights don't fit in with these times we will do our best to help you with an early check in or late check out but note that we cannot guarantee being able to agree to your request (see below) .

The property managers/owners on Crete have the final say about the time you can arrive and depart as they have to schedule villa cleaning between guest arrivals and departures. They will have been told the expected arrival time of your flight so if you have an early arrival time they will, as far as possible, be aiming to have the villa ready early (however we cannot guarantee that the villa will be fully serviced before 16.00. If you do arrive at the villa before 16.00 and it is still being cleaned then you are welcome to drop off your bags and go off elsewhere or sit and relax outside but please don't expect all of the villa's facilities to be available to you immediately on arrival).

Airports on Crete - There are two airports on Crete, one at Chania and the other at Heraklion.
All of our villas are closest to Chania airport.
Both airports are served by charter flights from the UK and the direct scheduled services of Easyjet (to Chania and Heraklion), Ryanair (to Chania), Monarch (to Chania and Heraklion) and Jet 2 (Heraklion).
Charter flights to Chania - primarily operate from London Gatwick and Manchester airports. Flights are operated by Monarch and Thomson Fly. Note these flights are only on Tuesdays.
Charter flights to Heraklion - operate on several days of the week from most UK airports.
Easyjet to Chania - from London Gatwick, direct to Chania on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays and, for 2012, flights also operate on Saturdays in peak season.
Easyjet to Heraklion from London Gatwick, London Luton, Manchester and Bristol to Heraklion on several different days of the week.
Ryanair to Chania from Leeds Bradford, East Midlands, Stansted and Glasgow to Chania on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Jet 2 to Heraklion - from East Midlands, Manchester, Newcastle and Leeds/Bradford to Heraklion, usually on Tuesdays.
Aegean Airlines, Olympic Air and BA fly daily to Crete from London Heathrow and a few times a week from London Gatwick and Manchester via Athens.
All of our villas are closest to Chania airport, typically 40 minutes drive. Our villas in the far west are approx one hour from Chania airport. Heraklion airport is in central Crete and is between 1 ½ to 2 ½ hours drive depending on the location of the villa.
Change-over days are Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday to fit in with direct flights from the UK and Scandinavia to Chania airport.

We will consider other change-over days. If you want to arrive on another day apart from those listed please ask. Whether we can accommodate your request will often depend on other bookings. Please note that non standard arrivals and departures may be charged at a premium rate.
