The living areas and kitchen are located to one side of the villa which is single storey and the bedrooms are in the other, split level side of the villa, part of which is two storey.

The kitchen is ultra modern and fully equipped. The dining area with a marble topped table and six chairs links the kitchen to the lounge which is traditionally and comfortably furnished with sofas and chairs. Original drawings and limited edition prints decorate the walls and large antique mirrors reflect light and space. Full entertainment facilities are provided including a 5.1 music system with surround sound speakers; the system also allows guests to play their own music by inserting their I pod into it.

All the bedrooms are air-conditioned as well as having ceiling fans and fly screens to the doors and windows. The master bedroom has a king size bed whilst the other two bedrooms each have twin beds. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, the master has a corner bath with shower over and the twins each have a full shower room. Plenty of hanging and other storage space is provided in each bedroom. The master, king size room opens up to a private terrace with sea views across Souda Bay Each of the twin rooms has a balcony, also with sea views across the bay.

Outside the landscaped gardens contain many different trees and shrubs with a colourful bougainvillaea climbing up the main pergola and fragrant jasmine outside the master bedroom. The private pool is surrounded by extensive terracing which is furnished with quality teak furniture and a 3 seater swing. There is a 2 seater "love" seat in a secluded part of the garden. A BBQ is provided and there are plenty of outdoor tables and chairs for al fresco dining.

The villa is very peacefully located, the only sound being of distant sheep bells or the cicadas. Sip a glass of wine at dusk and watch the sun go down over Souda Bay with The White Mountains to one side and the sparkling lights of the Akrotiri peninsula on the other, an experience never to be forgotten.

A superior welcome pack awaits you on arrival. Full maid service and linen change is provided twice a week at this villa. Additionally beach & pool towels are provided for each guest in addition to the bath and hand towels. The beach and pool towels are not laundered as part of the maid service.

The villa is centrally heated so is a good choice for early or late season holidays when the evenings may turn chilly.

Villa Amaltheia is licensed for holiday rentals with the Greek Tourist Authorities (EOT)

Villa Amaltheia is normally rented by the week, from Tuesday to Tuesday to fit in with the majority of flights from the UK to both Chania and Heraklion airports - see our flights page. Some flexibility in arrival/departure days is possible at this villa (depending on other bookings).

Prices quoted are in gbp sterling, per week, for up to 6 people occupying the villa and are not per person. Prices include air- conditioning, all linen including beach and pool towels, a superior welcome pack, maid service and linen change twice a week. Please note that the beach/pool towels are not laundered as part of the maid services. There are NO hidden extras.

We will confirm the availability and send you a booking form; at the same time we will put the villa on hold for you for 48 hours to give you time to book your flights and complete the booking formalities.
