We offer a unique opportunity to stay in this traditional Cretan village in beautiful villas and houses owned by a hospitable local Greek family.

The owner, Papantonis, is a great character and he and his family will ensure that you have a perfect stay at their villas. They offer their guests one complimentary traditional meal during their stay.

A stay in Astratigos will provide the basis for a holiday of total peace and relaxation, nestling between Afrata and Rodopos, Astratigos is about 30kms west of Chania. Whilst there are no tavernas or shops in Astratigos, there are four tavernas in Afrata and three in Rodopos, each about 20 to 25 minutes walk from our accommodation.

The nearest beach is at Afrata where you will find a delightful little cove with a pebble beach and crystal clear water perfect for swimming and snorkelling. There is a small cantina on the beach serving good food and cold drinks. There are plenty of other beaches to be explored only a short drive away.

Villa Olga is a recently built (2006), two storey, air-conditioned, stone villa that has been built and furnished in a traditional style to complement the other two villas. Villa Olga can sleep up to 7 in 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom is a double on the first floor with doors opening on to a spacious balcony offering fantastic sea views across to Chania. There are two twins, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor, each with their own balcony or terrace. A Cretan bed (with wooden slats) in the lounge area is suitable for a child. There is a well equipped kitchen area to one side of the open plan lounge/diner/kitchen on the ground floor, 2 bathrooms, one is on the ground floor and the other is on the first floor. The villa shares a pool and garden with Villa Theodoros and a BBQ with Villa Giorgios.

Villa Olga is normally rented by the week, from Tuesday to Tuesday to fit in with the majority of flights from the UK to both Chania and Heraklion airports - see our flights page. Some flexibility in arrival/departure days is possible at this villa (depending on other bookings).

Prices quoted are in gbp sterling, per week, for up to 7 people occupying the villa and are not per person.

Prices include all linen except for beach and pool towels, a welcome pack and maid service twice a week. There are NO hidden extras.

We will confirm the availability and send you a booking form; at the same time we will put the villa on hold for you for 48 hours to give you time to book your flights and complete the booking formalities.
