Prices are from £700 to £1395 gbp per week. 10/11 day stays are accepted and are charged pro rata.
Change-over days are Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday to fit in with the majority of direct flights from the UK to both Chania and Heraklion airports - see our flights page.
Prices quoted are in gbp sterling, per week, for up to 6 people occupying the villa and are not per person. The villa can sleep up to 8 with 2 people using the double sofa bed available; each person using the sofa bed is charged at the rate of £50 per week. Prices include air- conditioning, all linen including beach and pool towels and a welcome pack. Maid service and linen changes are weekly for 1 week stays and every 4 or 5 days for 2 week stays. Please note that the beach/pool towels are not laundered as part of the linen change. There are NO hidden extras.

Villa Haroupia is a modern, fully air-conditioned, luxury villa which has been planned, equipped and furnished to a very high standard with the emphasis on child safety. The villa is set in an enviable position between the villages of Kokkino Chorio and Plaka with fantastic views of Souda Bay and the White Mountains. The villa is within walking distance of a mini market and tavernas serving excellent food.
The villa is within a stone walled plot with parking for at least 3 cars; the entrance is via double gates which can be locked for added privacy/security. To maximise the spectacular views, Villa Haroupia has been built with the bedrooms on the ground floor and the living accommodation on the first floor. This has the added advantage of keeping the bedrooms naturally cooler.
All of the bedrooms have a sea view and are comprehensively fitted with plenty of wardrobe space, drawers, dressing tables and mirrors. There are two double rooms, furnished with iron bedsteads, both of which have doors opening up to a large, covered terrace. There is also a twin bedded room. The master double room has an en-suite shower room. The other double and the twin room share the family shower room which has a large shower cubicle, vanity unit, wc and bidet (the villa’s washing machine is also located in this room).
A wooden staircase (with a handrail) leads to the spacious open plan lounge/dining room with the kitchen off to one side. The kitchen is equipped for all of your self catering needs and includes a range of stainless steel appliances (see amenities list). Apart from those wonderful sea views, the other focal point in the comfortably furnished lounge is the stone fireplace in one corner. The large L shaped sofa which converts to a sofa bed provides plenty of comfortable seating around the coffee table. The sofa bed will sleep up to 2 extra persons – please note that prices quoted are for 6 persons occupancy and that the use of the sofa bed is charged at the rate of £50 per person per week. The dining table extends to seat 8. For your entertainment there is a satellite TV with DVD player and CD player plus i pod dock, books and a selection of games.
In addition to the large furnished balcony at the front, which runs the length of the villa, there is also a small balcony at the rear which gets the early sun and so is an ideal spot for breakfasting. The front balcony is fully furnished with an outdoor table and chairs and provides the perfect place for soaking up the sun during the day and enjoying the fabulous sunsets for which this part of Crete is renowned.
Outside, tiled steps lead directly from the lower balcony to the garden and the large 50m2 tiled swimming pool which has roman steps leading into it and a shallow end for children. The pool is surrounded by sunbathing terraces all of which have glorious views across Souda Bay. In the evenings the pool area is a lovely place to unwind and savour the views; this whole area benefits from soft lighting and spotlights in the pool.
Facing west so that the cook can enjoy watching the sun go down, there is a large BBQ with a working area plus 2 tables for al fresco dining and a useful outdoor fridge – great for chilled drinks at any time of the day.
The lower garden terrace has mature olive and haroupia (carob) trees growing which, together with the sun umbrella, provide some shade. This area is equipped with an outdoor table and chairs for al fresco dining or when you want a break from the sun.
The external terraces and pool area have been designed with railings and lockable gates so that parents can restrict access to these areas and prevent children from entering them unsupervised.
The villa is centrally heated so making it a good choice for early or late season holidays when some heating may be required on chilly evenings.
