I am writing to say how much we enjoyed our holiday at the Villa Theodoros. The villa was in a lovely location, perfect for a much needed rest, we loved the area. The accommodation was great and we had everything that we needed, it was very much home from home. The building was very comfortable as it was so cool. We felt very privileged to be invited to Dina’s wedding the first week-end of our stay; the invitation was typical of the kindness of the family who were very hospitable. We enjoyed some of their lovely home cooked meals to order too! We will recommend you to family and friends and look to you should we decide to return to Crete. We also recommend the Once Upon a Time taverna in Afrata for great food  – July 2008.

We have had an excellent week in Villa Theodoros which became a home from home. It was always good to enter the gate after a hard day relaxing and open the front door to the cooling interior. The hospitality was superb and we really enjoyed the home cooking. We would love to experience it all over again - June 2008.

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to experience this wonderful part of Crete in such welcoming surroundings. We really have enjoyed our week in Villa Giorgios and you can be sure that we will recommend it to friends and family back home - May 2008.

We had a fantastic time at Villa Giorgios and in western Crete. The food is incredibly fresh, especially Dina's. We had a great night at the Once Upon a Time in Afrata eating and drinking local wine and raki to the accompaniment of a bouzouki player. We visited a number of beaches and highly recommend the beach at Afrata just a 45 minute walk down to the sea with gentle clean water and a pebbly beach - September 2007.

Villa Olga is beautiful, clean, spacious and relaxing, a great welcome after our journey. The pool is perfect, we felt immediately relaxed. The food at Afrata tavernas is fantastic and so was Dina's meal and the ice lollies - just what we needed! We have been to many beaches. We feel that we have experienced a true flavour of Crete, everyone was hospitable and wanted to talk to us. We will miss this place very much. Thanks for making it so personal - August 2007.

We have really enjoyed our stay in Villa Theodoros. It's been so nice to be in a traditionally furnished Cretan cottage in such a lovely area. We have enjoyed our stay here so much. We have fallen in love with the western side of Crete and its people. The villas are maintained to a high standard. "What a fine holiday ! This location has allowed us to combine the relaxing beach style holiday with some more adventurous exploring. Everywhere we have been we have met the same friendly and hospitable reception - what a fantastic change ! Locally we found the beach at Afrata great for snorkelling. The Villa Giorgios has been superb for us and our 2 children. We felt at home straight away, clean , comfortable and well equipped - June 2006.

We have had a delightful 3 weeks here in Giorgos villa. Thank you all so very much for your wonderful hospitality, kindness and whole-hearted generosity. We appreciate greatly the delicious meail cooked by Dina, the box full of cakes - and especially the fine wine made by Papantonis, the raki and the olive oil. We have truly fallen in love with Crete and the beautiful villa and we hope to come here again. We wish you all a pleasant year and good luck – October 2005 

Have just returned from Crete where we spent two fantastic weeks - the villa was lovely and well furnished, spacious, great view from the balcony. We felt the family's friendliness (the meal, the gifts etc) added to the extra touch you do not often get when renting properties. The area was beautiful and we just loved the food. We will certainly recommend it and would love to return when we find the time - Villa Giorgios - August 2005.

We have just come back from a super week spent on Crete, staying at Astratigos in the Villa Theodoros. The house is absolutely charming and Maria and Papantonis were so nice ! We were very pleased with the standard of the accommodation and the setting - all were very good indeed. Crete is a beautiful island and we tried to get out and about as much as possible as well as having a rest. We made it as far as Elafonisi and Sfakia in the south - both were breath-taking. We also went up to have a look at the Samaria gorge - what an amazing place - Omalos is like something from Tibet or the Andes (almost expected to see Michael Palin appear with a film crew). Anyway, just wanted to say thank -you for arranging the villa for us and the excellent directions that you sent on how to get there from the airport. Hope to return again one day - May 2005.

We have had a lovely holiday here at Villa Theodoros which has been a home from home for the past two weeks. Many thanks for your kind hospitality which was very much appreciated. We hope to come again in the future – August 2004
