Once again many many thanks for the wonderful 2 weeks holiday we have just spent at Ilios House.  The new bed was fantastic!! We certainly hope to book the same two weeks again next year if possible.  We never tire of Crete and love the Greek people and Ilios is the perfect place to unwind and relax. We will definitely consider staying at Ilios House again. It was a really lovely place to stay and in an excellent location. I shall be recommending it to my dad too as he also loves Crete and I think its a perfect location for him too. I was pleased to see Almirida hadn't changed too much since I was last there 20 years ago (admitedly based on the memory of an 11 year old) - April 2010. 
 
Our first trip to Crete and we're so glad we came here. A lovely house, well looked after with everything you need, the books and dvd's are a great idea. Recommend a trip to Elafonissi and if you're feeling fit, Samaria Gorge. Travel agencies in Almirida or Kalives can help you out with transport/trips if you need it. Astra House is a lovely place with so much character and everything we needed. Our favourite spot was "the cove" for snorkelling with stunning views - Astra House - August 2008.

After a week-end in Athens we were excited about relaxing in Crete and feared our expectations would be too high. However in Astra they were far exceeded and we truly enjoyed the memorable relaxing retreat we had so needed. Fantastic setting, beautiful views and idyllic sunsets - Astra House - August 2008.

2nd visit to Crete, much prefer this area to the eastern side. The villa was ideal for us, so peaceful and relaxing and a good base for visits to Chania, Rethymnon and Georgioupolis. It was excellent having the TV as we were able to keep up with the Olympics. great pool and weather - Ilios House - August 2008.

We have been holidaying in Greece for 30 years but to have now found Ilios House is the icing on the cake, it is so peaceful here and the views at any time of the day are wonderful. Thank you for sharing your house with us, we will be back - Ilios House - June 2008.

Villa superbly equipped and in a great location. We have been holidaying on Akrotiri for 14 years but this location is so much better. Plaka is a great village and we recommend taverna Harokopos. Chania is a must - best on market day. We will be back - Ilios House - May 2008.

We had such a lovely time this year in Illios House that we wanted to inquire if it is free for next year (2008) – August 2007.

Having recently returned from our holiday at Astra House, we felt we just had write and tell you what a wonderful time we had.  The house and the setting were absolutely perfect, in fact we are hoping to go back again in the very near future.  Thank you for helping us with our holiday, we expect to be in touch very soon –  Astra House - June 2007.

Just returned yesterday from a fortnight in Astra House and thought I'd get in touch to say how lovely the house was and what a wonderful relaxing time we had there. Though we had plans to do quite a bit of sightseeing we found the local amenities and attractions so rewarding that the furthest we got was to Argiroupoli and never saw any of the Gorges or the South of the Island. Thanks for making the procedures smooth and for one of our best holidays. We shall certainly be coming back, there is still much to see and do  - Astra House - June 2006.

Hi - sorry it’s taken a few days to get back to you and to say many thanks for your gorgeously quaint house that we used. We loved it. We also loved the wake up call every morning (well we were on holiday) at 10ish from the sheep and the shepherd nattering to each other at the well. Even spoke to him on our last day, but never understood him.  Its definitely one little spot to remember for another time. We had such a lovely time, helped in no small measure by the delight of having somewhere to stay which was all we hoped it would be and more. The early (not too early) morning views to both front and rear from the bedroom were breathtaking as was the daily spectacle of the glorious sunset. Chania is such a beautiful province and the locals very friendly and helpful. Our only regret - not having found it sooner in our lives.  Villa Homer - June 2004.
