Great villa in a wonderful location. Not much to add to other guests' comments. The taverna next to the memorial in Gavalochori was our favourite. Dream Adventures snorkelling trip was well worth it, especially the high speed run back and the stop at the hermit's cave. We are back. Couldn't wait to return to this wonderful villa and amazing part of Crete. We have had pool days, beach days, waterpark and go karting. Hubby hired a bike and explored further afield - the best way to explore - stunning views. Can't wait to return, it feels like our 2nd home (if only) - July 2011.
We have had a fantastic fortnight here in Crete and have loved everything about Villa Allium! It had everything we needed and more. We've had constant sunshine and the pool has been very well used. 3 bathrooms was really useful and a big bonus. Everything has exceeded our expectations and the photos we saw on the website before we came don't do the villa justice. Our 2nd time here and it's just as we remembered. We didn't do much different apart from spending some time in Chania - thoroughly recommended for lots of places to shop and eat. Walked the Imbros gorge (rather than Samaria) on the advice of Debbie and Martin. It was an 8 km gentle slope down with a taxi at the end to take you back. The views were spectacular - May 2011.
After a bit of an annus horribilis we needed to find somewhere to simply stop and relax. Villa Allium delivered exactly that and we have spent most of the time doing very little. We were worried that we were holidaying a little too late but apart from one day it was sun, pool, chilled wine and bang on brief! We loved Chania and recommend it. The drive south to Chora Sfakion is spectacular. Another great drive is to Georgioupolis via Kokkino Chorio with village after village unchanged by time. Sunday luncxh in one of the tavernas in Gavalochori surrounded by Greek families enjoying each other's company was great fun. Thanks to Debbie and Martin for all they did and we look forward to returning to the peace and clam of beautiful Villa Allium again - Sept/Oct 2010.

Allium Villa fulfilled all our expectations. A great deal of thought and care has been put into it by the owners, Peter and Alison. The garden is very good with the bananas and pomegranites being a lovely surprise. Lots to see and do in this part of Crete and Almirida has some very good tavernas - August 2010.
Spacious lovely villa - very peaceful. Lovely garden with many shady spots to relax and read. Very nice pool and pool area. Time goes too quickly - we hope to return - July/August 2010.

We had a great holiday. I was very impressed with Villa Allium. It was just perfect for us, and we managed to keep the gate shut so no sheep in our pool, although we did spot one jump over the fence of next door to have a drink out of their pool! Car hire was easy, and our teenagers fell in love with the chap who met us at the airport! In fact they fell in love with a lot of the Greek waiters as well! The wedding we went to was great too, so overall a very memorable holiday. I was also very impressed with your service. Well done. I’m sure we’ll be back for more sometime - May/June 2010.
Having just returned from a 2 week stay at Villa Allium, from 21st July to 4th August, with my daughter and family we would just like to thank you for your help in the arrangements, which went like clockwork. We had a fantastic time, and found the villa to be everything we could have wished for. The location was perfect with such glorious views and very pretty garden. The villa was incredibly well equipped with china and cutlery, so needed with 6 people and a dishwasher! also a treat to have sharp knives! also very comfortable beds. We had a great time exploring the vicinity and local tavernas, spending time in the pool and sincerely hope to be returning before too long - July/August 2009.

This really is an idyllic villa with all the necessary home comforts & a wonderful pool. Very quiet but close to many places to visit. Elpis taverna in Plaka serves very good home made food but the best taverna was in Gavalochori. The moussaka is excellent as is everything else, the setting, service and cost. We will certainly stay here again when we return to Crete - June 2008.
We spent 12 wonderful days here. Your villa is one of the very best holiday homes we've stayed at and there have been quite a few! Everything was not only alright, it was splendid - tasteful furnishings, marvellous pool and a lovely garden. We would certainly like to come back some day - May 2008.
